Celebrating the Fête de la Gastronomie in Burgundy means toasting to good taste(s), enjoying a fine bottle of wine produced just a few kilometers away to accompany delicious cheeses. What does Fantastic Picnic have to offer?

Fantastic Picnic is all about promoting local produce. And tasting them in unusual places or during unique experiences is the fabulous concept behind this year’s gourmet event in Burgundy.

Wineries, visit sites, parks, abbeys and many other exceptional places welcome you to discover local products.

There are as many picnics as there are organizers. Some picnics take place in the countryside, in breathtaking scenery. Others take place in the parks of châteaux, offering an elegant and refined experience.

So you’ll find different formulas for each location.

Have you already visited the Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne? If you haven’t yet, take advantage of the weekend of September 7 & 8, 2024 to discover this magnificent interpretation center. The tour explains all about the world of wine in Burgundy, and our famous Climats, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015. And if you’re coming as a family, your children will be in heaven with a tour designed just for them: hands-on activities, interactive exhibition, videos…. they can brush up on their history, geography and geology…. all in one visit!
