    "Step by step" :

    From the car park, go to the starting panel of circuit no 23 located at the opposite corner of the square from the hotel.
    Take Rue du Pot de Fer.
    On leaving the village, turn left into the vineyards heading south 1.
    The road continues to be tarred.
    Ignore a small road on the right and continue towards the quarries of Chassagne-Montrachet.
    Near a nearly circular structure, turn right and, in 20 m, turn right between two stone walls 2. Ignore a metalled road to the right.
    At the next junction, turn left on a small tarmac road.
    At the next junction, turn left on the D113a for 10 m, then turn right and head uphill.
    Arriving at the "Chevalier Montrachet", turn right and, in 10 m, turn left into the grassy path past the long wall 3.
    At the end of the wall, cross a wide dirt road and continue on the path which is not well marked and which rises, veering slightly to the left 4. Arriving at the top of Montrachet, coming out of the thickets, turn right (post P34) and walk along the vineyards 5 in the direction of a pine wood.
    Arriving at a metalled road, turn right.
    After the pierced standing stone 6, turn left on a metalled path uphill 7.
    Towards the top of the road, walk along a hedge of boxwood and other shrubs.
    Ignore a path on the left (view left of Saint Aubin).
    On the tarmac road 8 (post P35), turn right. (Please note: this is a crossroads of Pays Beaunois circuits: circuit 22 turns left to descend to Gamay while no 15 climbs to Roche Dumay) (post P23).
    The tarmac road runs down amid the vineyards 9.
    Pass close to the "Chapelle Saint Charles" from 1740 (the sculpture has disappeared). Turn right to pass through the hamlet of Blagny 10.
    After the first houses, following the road, turn left and then right (post P36).
    Just after the tennis courts, go left on a metalled path along the old wall of the property.
    Continue down, ignoring two paths on the left.
    Near a house (Service des Eaux/Water Department), turn right.
    Then turn left towards the small pine wood.
    Reaching the tarmac road, turn left 11 and then, in 20 m, left again 12.
    At the junction, at Meursault-Charmes, turn right.
    Ignore all side paths 13 including a small tarmac road to the right 14.
    At the stop sign, cross the road.
    At the next crossroads, turn right 15.
    At the next fork, go straight ahead, the bridle way (orange markers) heading left.
    Enter Puligny-Montrachet on Rue du But (château on the left) 16.
    Cross Rue de Bois. Pass the war memorial on the right 17 and continue straight ahead towards Place des Marronniers 18.
