In the village of Combertault, a few kilometres from Beaune.

Around 1030, an abbey was founded here: the Abbey of Saint Hippolyte. Some of the remains of the abbey church remain, including wall paintings depicting the story of Saint Hippolyte.

The Romanesque church, restored in the 15th century, was severely damaged and lost its nave, which was only partially rebuilt.

It is well worth a visit.
