Choosing a table d’hôte: eating with local people

Would you like to discover the gastronomic Côte d’Or through the eyes of its inhabitants? Choose B&B accommodation for your immersive stay. Some offer typical Burgundy table d’hôtes.

Just 30-40 minutes from Dijon, Beaune and its villages are a treasure trove of traditional houses, ancient estates and charming residences where you can spend a night or more away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. In some cases, table d’hôtes are offered by native Burgundians, passionate winegrowers or foreigners who love Burgundy.

We’ve selected a few places to stay with table d’hôtes for a unique experience, where gastronomy and hospitality come together to create memories filled with conviviality.

Our selection of bed and breakfast accommodation

Sleep and eat with the Burgundians in and around Beaune

Winegrowers' dinner at

Clos Saint Jacques

Le Clos Saint Jacques, Maison d’Hôtes et de Terroirs, opens its doors all year round in the heart of the village of Meursault, renowned for its great white Burgundy wines.

This establishment offers tailor-made stays. Denis and Anne offer wine tastings with commentary, as well as dinners in the company of the winemakers. Everything is designed to help you discover the jewels of Burgundy’s vineyards, its prestigious appellations and the region’s culinary specialties.

The authentic charm of

Charles V

Also in Meursault, Nadia and Michel-Henri welcome you to their old, renovated home, all year round.

Take advantage of the relaxation area with heated swimming pool, snooker room and tastefully decorated bedrooms, all air-conditioned and en-suite.

Our charming couple leave the running of the restaurant to their son Guillaume. He revisits Burgundian classics four evenings a week.

And to complete your stay in this charming place, you can treat yourself to a wellness massage in your room.

Michel-Henri will be delighted to share his passion for Burgundy wines with you. You’ll leave with a happy heart, and perhaps a cuvée stamped with your name.

In the heart of Burgundy

The Divines

In the charming village of La Rochepot, Sylvia and Christian welcome you to their guest house Les Divines for a relaxing stay and a gourmet experience. Their cuisine highlights local gastronomy with fresh produce: vegetables from the kitchen garden, meats from neighboring farms, and local cheeses. In short, this generous table honors local produce.

The table d’hôtes is available to B&B guests by reservation, at least 72 hours in advance. The seasonally-adjusted menu features a starter, main course, cheese and dessert.

Sylvia also organizes wine tastings.

A packed lunch at

Les Cabottes

How about an out-of-the-ordinary experience?

Les Cabottes is hidden away in the small village of Change. Just a stone’s throw from the church. You’ll spend an unusual night in a tiny house, between Saône et Loire and Côte d’Or. For your meal, Alexane, trained at the Institut Paul Bocuse, prepares typical Burgundian picnic baskets. From country baskets with charcuterie and cheese to full meal baskets, let yourself be seduced. Enjoy them on site, or take them away for a trip along the Voie des Vignes.

Burgundy's wine tables

Why not eat at a winegrower's?

A warm and welcoming experience

Domaine Comte Senard

Enjoy a Burgundian lunch accompanied by a tasting of Domaine Comte Senard wines.

In a convivial dining room, friendly and knowledgeable sommeliers will guide you through the Domaine’s prestigious range of wines, offering daring food and wine pairings.

Enjoy a simple, local meal prepared in the Burgundian tradition. These lunches, delivered each morning by well-known Côte d’Or caterers, are available by reservation only.

A convivial meal at

La Table de Pauline

At this estate in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune region, in the small village of Nantoux, you’ll be offered a choice of different formulas with different wines from the house of Charles Père & Fille to taste.

These wines will be accompanied by a traditional Burgundian menu prepared by a local caterer.
Your host, Pauline, will be on hand throughout your meal to introduce you to the domaine’s wines and guide you in your choices.

Gourmandise is not a fault in Burgundy
