Once you’ve visited our flower-filled villages, you can set off to discover the Natura 2000 protected areas.

01. Beaune and its 4 flowers

As soon as you arrive in Beaune, whether by train or car, you’ll be seduced by the flower beds. Depending on the season, traffic circles are adorned with perennials or Japanese grass. Flower breaks await you in the town center’s squares and hidden corners: Place Carnot and its carrousel, the Boussard de la Chapelle garden and its climbing roses… Parks and gardens are also plentiful for lunch breaks, where you may have to share the scent of flowers with a few foraging bees.

2. Montagny-les-Beaune

Montinibeaunois proud of their 3 flowers

4. Vignoles

3 flowers for more sustainable flowering

This small commune near Beaune knows how to motivate its residents to plant flowers that are both aesthetically pleasing and, above all, sustainable. The choice of planting perennials rather than annual flowers and efforts to reduce water consumption.

5. Combertault

In search of a third flower

Crossed by the Bouzaize and Flun rivers, Combertault has everything to seduce passers-by in search of a stroll. The municipality and its residents are also playing the game and are climbing up the Villes et Villages fleuris rankings, with 2 flowers to their name, and aiming for a third in 2024.

6. Ladoix-Serrigny

A heritage showcased by flowers

The village of Ladoix-Serrigny and its hamlets of Corcelles, Neuvelle and Buisson have worked hard to earn a second flower in 2023. These reasoned flowerings highlight a particularly rich built heritage: the Church of Saint-Marcel, the Chapel of Notre-Dame-du-Chemin, the commune’s three washhouses, the Monument aux Morts, the Château de Serrigny, the Old Mill known as the “Moulin de la Camille” and, of course, the beautiful houses typical of Burgundy.

7. Levernois

Nature all around, an educational trail and 2 flowers on the counter

Levernois is home to the Beaune Golf Club. Greenery is second nature to this pretty village of fine Burgundian homes. The Bouzaize river flows through the village and can be crossed by 5 stone bridges. Take an educational walk along the banks of the river to discover them. Agapanthus, Sanguisorbes and lavender perfume the lanes and paths of this pretty Côte d’Or village.

8. Santenay

Wine, spas and flowers

The Canal du Centre and the Voie des Vignes run through this Burgundy town, adding to its natural beauty. The village is surrounded by vineyards on the hillside and pastures and woods around the canal. Santenay’s town center and its beautiful Place du Jet d’Eau are adorned with flower beds and decorations. The streets leading up to the thermal baths or the Casino are filled with fragrant bouquets.
