As beautiful from afar as it is up close, the village of La Rochepot lives in the shadow of its exceptional Château. It’s not open to the public, but the view from the road is well worth the detour.
Leaving La Rochepot, we take the D906 down to Chassagne-Montrachet, cross Nolay and take a well-deserved rest at Change. A nice place to sleep before returning on the Voie Verte to Santenay and the Côte de Beaune.
Prepare your hikes in the countryside. The Hautes-Côtes de Beaune are waiting for you.
Speaking of mining, Molinot’s 19th century past was linked to coal mining. Today, it’s a paradise for forest walkers.
Safe cycling outings with children are a real pleasure. So why not take the Voie verte de Thury, which runs along an old railroad line? You’ll discover the village and the surrounding green countryside.
Let’s leave the Autunois road to the north and head east. Before you reach the D906, Val-Mont awaits you with its Château de Coraboeuf.
After this brief overview, you’ll soon realize that there’s not just one Burgundy, but many. Allow yourself to make discoveries, stroll through unspoilt countryside and be surprised by encounters with winegrowers, cultural gems and fine products to taste. There’s so much more to experience in the Pays Beaunois!
