8 km east of Beaune, Sainte-Marie-la-Blanche has its own wine appellation, the “Vin de Pays de Sainte-Marie-la-Blanche”, for harvests in the village and in 16 communes on the plain. The two ponds, La Garenne and Le Grand Creux, are an invitation to fish and stroll, while the more curious can push open the door of the church to contemplate an exceptional 16th-century Christ of Pity.
