COMBERTAULT

East of Beaune, at the confluence of 2 busy Roman roads, Combertault takes its name from the owner of the land, a certain Berthald, and was then called Cortis de Berthwaldus. The church, with its Romanesque choir, was built on the site of the former 11th-century Saint-Hyppolite abbey.
