ALOXE-CORTON

At the foot of the “illuminated” Corton mountain, Aloxe-Corton, a village with 3 châteaux, is home to two grands crus. Corton, red is the emperor of the Côte de Beaune’s red grands crus, the second, Corton Charlemagne in white, is an emperor’s wine, “Carolus Magnus” having owned a vineyard there in the 8th century.

The Vierge de “Sous Frétille” awaits you for a superb view over the Burgundian rooftops of Pernand-Vergelesses. Continue to the top of the Colline de Corton to admire the roofs of Aloxe-Corton.
